I'm almost ready to order. If someone would please just check that I'm ordering components that will work together. The area I've found most complicated (I'm a novice btw) is the RAM memory I would appreciate conformation that the RAM works with the Moby. I'll put links to both Moby and Memory...

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Socket 939 512Kb Inc Fan

Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 Socket 939 nForce 4-4X PCI-E ATX Moby

Corsair Memory VS1GBKIT400 PC3200 2x512MB CAS2.5 http://www.dabs.com/uk/productView.htm?quicklinx=2Z7N

Antec SLK3700AMB UK 350W PSU ATX

Gigabyte GF 6200 128MB DDR, PCI-E, DVI, TV Out, Retail Graphics Card.

Samsung SM959NF 19"CRT 1280x1024@85Hz aperture grill monitor.

The PC will be for Photoshop (mainly),Internet (alot of). Copying CD and DVD,a little word processing. The graphics card is "weak" because I don't game. My kids I guess may game later but they have a PS2 which keeps them away from my PC :) I will use my two current IDE hard drives and the CDrom and CD-RW that I have initally to get me going.

All the above comes to just over £600 GBP delivered from Dabs with 9 months interest free credit thrown in.

This time last week I didn't even know the components that make up a PC so if I've made a mistake please let me know.

Thanks David...

Hi David,

If you are going to use your PC for picture editing, graphics, and/or editing video clips or movies...having 1GB of RAM is good enough. For internet use and word processing, the specs you specified are more than enough. You're right, your graphics card is not really "weak", but if you are planning on installing games in the future, you better get an ATI Radeon or nVidia card.

Ahmm... the 6200 is a Nvidia card ;)). Anyway, I think the specs are good given what you intend to use ot for. Although you did menttion that you do not intend to game, I could recommend you to get the Geforce 6600 instead. That would be more powerful and costs about the same as the 6200.
