alphabetize favorites!! you can!!

I have been told so many times that you cannot alphabetize favorites with Windows XP Pro. Today I was at the computer/tv company that I have my service with. He showed me how to do it- it was very easy! It alphabetized favorites! I thought it was right click on a favorite, then click on sort by name- but, when I right click on a favorite- the is no 'sort by name'-I FORGOT HOW TO DO IT!! Blond? No. Airhead? Very!! Thanks to anyone who knows ho to do it!!

Trizoy- I have IE- I see all sorts of tutorials that say to right click on Favorites-either by the file,edit,view in the upper left hand corner, to right click on the favorites with the yellow/gold star, or to right click under the favorites that is right over your list of favorites, or right click on organize. NONE of these will give me 'sort by name',-(there is another word that they say will be there and it is not-forgot the word). I am going crazy/upset- I know it is there-he showed me this afternoon how to do it! I added to favorites, and wanted that to be alphabetized also- what in H**LL am I doing wrong!
 
im using XP Pro and ie 7.

Alt + Z (add to favorites)

Choose organize favorites

Right click the links folder

Choose sort by name.

(at least i think this what ya want).

Tremmor- Yes- something like that, except I never have sort by name' come up. I click on 'organize' on the left hand side of the screen. When I do this, I get a smaller screen with a blue 'line' at the top of the box. It says rename,delete, move to folder, create folder. If I right click on 'organize' by the left side of the screen it just says 'close toolbar'.. When you say 'choose favorites'- do you mean to click the mouse on the 'organize' on the left hand side of the screen where it has 'favorites' right above 'add' and 'organize'-above the list of favorites? I have done this. If I right click on any of the favorites that are in my list, 'open, create, print, make available offline, cut, copy, delete, rename, properities. No 'sort by name'.
