Alright, I AM FED UP WITH THIS!

Yes I have HL2. I'm running CS:S at this moment playing surf_skyworld (If you even know what that is) at 90-120 FPS, on high graphics, so that's great! But it is quite a low-end map, not that much in it.

I mainly got rid of the other high-end games like Far cry for instance because I couldn't handle it. I can't reinstall them because i've either sold them or given them away.

---------------------------------------
I'll write a little report of the games i've been playing so far.

On other mods like Garry's Mod, or Day of Defeat: Source my FPS is a lot lower, about 20-50 FPS, but still good.

Of course playing CS:S on different maps, the FPS would probably be similar.

I've tested Rome: Total War with 15,000 troops. Before I came here, when I made 15,000 troops I got like less than 5 FPS, it's a little better now, at about 10 FPS, which is cool.

Playing Battlefield 2 on Medium Graphics, I got an OK performance before I came here, but now it's a lot easier and enjoyable. I might even be able to turn the graphics up a notch to High, but I haven't tried it yet.

On World of Warcrack (Warcraft :P) it was running good even before I came here, but now it's usually flawless, with only a few small freezes, and maybe lag while viewing a large amount of crap.

---------------------------------------

Overall I can play Most of the games (So Far) I still have installed on this computer pretty well.

But i'm looking into the future now, E.X Call of Duty 2, F.E.A.R, and I don't think this computer, and it's problem or whatever it may be, will meet my standards. It still can't even handle all the current games on High Graphics, which is frustrating because I want the full experience.

I think this is about it? If so I want to thank you all, especially Praetor, so much for the help. You've defintly increased it's performance a lot, I'm thankful and in your debt :)

But there still seems to be something in this box of of electronics that cripple it. I may just give this computer to one of my friends as a Christmas Present or something, because he isn't much of a gamer and it would be useful for his Job, Multi-tasking and an occasional CS:S game.

I'll become active here, it's a great environment. It has even inspired me to become a Computer Technician because I'm still an unemployed student.

Sorry if my first post was out of hand and pure complaining, I was really heated up :D

Again thanks, peace out.

1. Glad I could the bit that i could
2. I would consider doing a reinstalling windows just to rule out software stupidity Have a look here
3. My guess is that as wierd as it sounds, it is a B&W2 peculiarity ... because everything else seems to fall within expected performance parameters (ok on the lower side of things ... can you play BF2 @ 1024x768, everything to max in the game, drivers set to performance/balanced mode flawlessly each time, everytime? ... dont go by a fps number, go by gameplay experience)

I'll probably reinstall Windows anyways, once I get the new computer. But i've already restored twice, and there hasn't been much change in performance.

Yes b&W2 does play pretty bad. I've tested a few more games, like the F.E.A.R demo which was laggy even on the "recommended system settings". DOOM 3, I got my friends version, install and played, was very bad on high graphics. Call of Duty 2 Demo, which plays good on low graphics (They have a reputation for making high-end games low-end games aswell :)) but was quite horrid on high graphics.

Also games like HL2 are very well made I must say, they make it look cool and somehow allow it to perform so well.

And I was judging by Gameplay Experience, just showing the FPS as an example.

I also just realised I had BF2 on 800x600 resolution, so that's an obvious reason for good performance, but not looking as good.

I just tested BF2 on 1024x768, Max settings, and I was VERY surprised at the performance. I played for about 5 minutes flying with around 70 FPS!

Whoa, theres a big difference between restoring and reinstalling:)

Thats more like it ... now you should be able to do the same even at 1280x1024 ... but then you might get lag pockets here and there (which is why i asked you to test at a more guaranteed 10x7 :))

I meant reinstalling, not the System Restore.

I just did some tweaking via a website for Black and White 2 and now this game plays a lot better now aswell!!
