Alt key messes up everything!

Hello everyone, I am having a weird problem with my keyboard. It is a StarCraft II Marauder keyboard by Razer, just saying in case that would help.

At any time, if I ever accidentally press my left Alt key, it messes up everything. My keyboard no longer types letters, my mouse acts funny and clicking doesn't do what it is supposed to do, and there is no reversing it. In order to get things to go back to normal I literally have to restart my computer. I tried disconnecting the keyboard and reconnecting after this has happened and still doesn't fix it. My right Alt key works fine though.

Does anyone know why this is? I'd prefer to fix this one but if not I'm going to have to buy another keyboard because its that bad.
 
I would say you have a short. You eat or drink near the pc? Did anything spill on it recently?
 
Hey thanks for the reply I greatly appreciate it! I do sometimes eat in front of my computer though I'm usually rather careful. If I look closely I can see some particles in it but that's about it. No liquid ever touched it though. If this is the case is it repairable or will I have to buy another keyboard?

You can try popping the key up and see if there is anything stuck under it. Other than that, it looks like you'll need a new keyboard.
