my videos skip when watching in a browser but when i watch them using an external play they do not..is there anyway to make them play using the an external video player or is there an alternative to adobe flash player that uses lest resources?

I think it's probably not so much an issue with flashplayer using resources as it is with your connection speed - the browser can only display video which it has received... what about if you pause the video and let it buffer for a minute and then play it - does it still skip?

no...i have cable, my other machines ram is burnt up i get bluescreen of death it played videos fine this is just a slow machine but like i said they play fine in vlc ...i'm reading up on how to patch it through too and let vlc play they flv...if you have any input, feel free to advise me

I'm interested to know how that works out for you. Please post back with your results. Videos are jumpy in my browser on my older computer too - but if I download them or let them buffer for a minute then they play smoothly. Videos play fine in my browser on my newer computer. I've always just assumed that it takes the older computer longer to process the video when it's streaming than it does when it's already buffered/downloaded.
