Hello! Am new to this forum and have an important question right off the bat - what can i use instead of google, gmail and whatsapp???
I am SICK of the monopoly google has on E V E R Y T H I N G and I have decided that I will no longer support it.
So, the question is - what are my alternatives - and by this i mean SECURE alternatives.
For a whatsapp replacement I thought of THREEMA (the swiss company) I have downloaded the app already and am quite happy with it.
As far as email service is concerned - NEOMAILBOX? Is there anything else that is easy to use and secure?
And the browser will probably be the hardest of all... bing? is that the only other option?

Use Firefox if you want an alternative to your browser, Bing is Microsoft so if you want to stay away from huge companies this wouldn't be a good choice. As far as the email goes, there are tons of free email services, you usually even get one with your ISP.

Yahoo does a lot of what Google does. I don't know why whatsapp is in the list. Google doesn't own that.

For messenger services, there are hundreds out there, but the problem is getting your contacts to use the same obscure no name app that you are using. Why not use Kik?

Are you willing to use Outlook or Yahoo? Those are both great e-mail services that aren't owned by Google. For browsers the popular ones are Chrome (Google), Internet Explorer (Microsoft), Firefox (Mozilla - Open Source), Opera (Open source as well I believe).

Browser : Firefox or Opera
Search Engine : Yahoo or Bing
E-Mail : Outlook.com would probably give you the largest integration

Browser: Pale Moon

Search engine: Startpage, DuckDuck Go or ixquick

E-mail: gmx.com

E-mail client: postbox-express

Messenger: Jitsi
