Am I being hacked?

Okay, I'm getting extremely concerned and pissed off right now.

Alright, first incident is on Facebook. I got a notification telling me that "So and so has accepted you friend request", first off I did not sent this person a friend request. She's a family member, and I simply "unfriended" but this has happened to my other account, and it's really bothering me. What is going on here?

Second incident, I got a notification from McAfee saying "A device has connected to your network" or "A device has connected to your PC" or something like that. For a little FYI, I do have a separate mouse connected. The it gave me a list of IP addresses, and it listed mine as "offline", even though I'm online right now. Is my computer being hacked and somebody now see all my activities and private files?

The router is in my parents' room, and we use AT&T.

Did you say you did or did not friend request her? Have you installed any new devices on the network lately?

Sorry, typo but no I didn't send her a friend request. As for my second issue, which is, much more important, I will say that my annoying sister came back for Labor Day weekend from college, some cousins were also connecting to our network, and yes it is an SSID and passphrase activated network.

But what is really irking me and extremely wierd why those were never showing up, and only up until about 11 PM yesterday did it decide to tell me "A Device has connected to your network".

I went to McAfee again, but it would never show the network map again, again as a I said, the router is in my parents' room with the main "family computer", not my personal laptop here in the basement, which is where the message showed up.

Well anytime I connect a pc or laptop to my network( I work on computers all the time) My pc tells me that a new pc has been detected. You can change settings for network discovery.

Hmmm, well that makes a little more positive that it's not a hacker. But still, I'll ask my parents and my little sister (who always hangs around with my college sister) just to do a little house cleaning, and I'll get back

You got anything about the Facebook issue?

Well maybe someone has accessed your account while you were logged in? Facebook accounts can and have been hacked before.

Maybe perhaps I should change my password. If that doesn't work, I'm deleting my Facebook account because it's ridiculous.
