Am I being ripped off?

I've recently decided to purchase a digital storm gaming computer using money I have saved up.

These are the specs.

Chassis: HAF 922 (Very good)

Processor: Intel Core i5 760 2.8GHz (Quad Core) Overclocked to 3.3 - 3.7 ghz

Motherboard: EVGAP66M SLI (Intel p55 Chipset)

System Memory:4GB DDR3 1333MHz Digital Storm Certified Performance Series (Hand tested)

Power Supply: 500W Digital Storm Certified

Hard drive set 1 : 1x (500GB) Western Digital (16MB Cache) (7200 RPM)

Graphics card: 1x NVIDIA GeForce GTX460 1GB (Includes physX technology)

Sound card: Integrated Motherboard Audio

Cooling: Inter graded performance cooling

Windows OS: Windows 7 Home premium (64 bit addition)

Blue Internal lighting

Warranty: 3 years

Customer Service: 24/7 inhouse or in office technician experts
Upgrades: Life time labor free upgrades if purchased from Digi Storm
Testing: Complete 72 hour testing on every part

It would take 5- 15 days to come.


In total this all costs a sum of $1263, that's without shipping and handling.

So, is it worth it, or am i being ripped off?

Yeah, that's a rip-off. You could build that for substantially less than 1K$

I wouldn't say it's a rip-off since you would be getting it assembled, overclocked, and with a 3-year warranty as well as lifetime free upgrade labor, etc.

But at the same time, CF is a great resource for step-by-step guides on building a computer (http://www.computerforum.com/104641-how-build-computer-step-step-photos.html) as well as a great community to help you with any issues you may have. Plus, building your own computer is an awesome experience and when you fire it up for the first time, you'll think to yourself, "Yeah, I built this."

Just my two cents :)
