Am I doing a Good Purchase?

No no, they are not crap...

Direct canada offers great prices and free shipping for orders over 300$ and under 100 lbs.
NCIX offers price match policy and certain deals for free shipping with specified pieces of hardware.

ya but all products form newegg that i find on canada direct or ncix cost more, and adding all the mroes up makes alot :P

live with the retail one?
and isnt a cooler obligatory?

Yes, a cooler is needed...

IntelCrazy gave you a Retail CPU... Let's make this a bit clearer:

Retail - Includes Cooler...

OEM - Processor only, no cooler...

As long as you aren't overclocking like crazy another cooler is not needed.

if you check the newegg purchase it comes to about 922 with the 8800gt and a PSU, without shipping.

I did a built on directcanada and it comes to 905 with shipping and taxes depending of ur province, I put a 320gb HDD cuz the 400gb weren't available. Only thing is that u'd have to check for the GPU to be available... and also explain what you intend to do with that computer so we can guide u better in making a proper purchase.

Anyway, here is a potential built:

CPU: E6750
HDD: Seagate 320gb
RAM: OCZ 2x1gb 35$ MIR
PSU: Antec NeoHe 500
DVD burner: Liteon
Case: Coolmaster Centurion 5
GPU: Palit 8800GT Never heard of that brand tho.

Total 904.99, with 35$ MIR = 869.99
