As ive stated in other threads... i bought a s20 thinkstation... im not super smart with computers but the computer store i bought it from is one best where i live and when i told them i want a computer for gaming.. but nothing overkill... so they steered me to the s20. which how dumb is that if the s20 lenovo is a work computer and dedicated to office, cad, and all that, NOT FOR GAMING. and they even went so far as to offer to put a graphics card in it for gaming and a ssd... now whats the deal here? i felt i overpaid on the system as it was. but i was told it was upgradable and can do what i want with it.. but as i read the numerious dicussions about the s20, things are looking pretty dark for me.. im pretty much sure im taking it back to them and showing my frusteration.. this stinks... very much. i always run into annoying things like this it seems.... idk what to do else..

I'm not sure what you want.

People at electronic stores rip you off all the time

You should have done more research or come here earlier

it isnt a electronic store. its a computer repair store.. and no it isnt a shady one. they are the best here where i live. i want a computer i can upgrade parts on it.... not be stuck with lenovo only and locked down like that... im sorry to be all mad but it sooo stupid because they should know what they are selling.. they said they would put a higher end graphics card in it, but how is that possible if you cant do that on a s20... seriously...

If you're unhappy go back and ask if you can return it. Also do as I said in the other thread about the graphics card and post what cables you have coming out of your power supply.

im taking it back, there should no be no reason they shouldn't, its their fault, halfway... I mean seriously. I asked for a system that I can easily upgrade with whatever I want for gaming... and they give me a s20 thinkstation...wow..

You should always ask before you purchase.
I can't comment if the shop offer you the right product at fair price.
You haven't list what spec is the PC and how much they charge you.
And you didn't tell what game you are playing.

That computer can't be upgraded for games. It has a xeon processor and a workstation gfx. Even if you switch the GfX out, your still stuck with a xeon CPU that cant handle gaming. Ofcourse the socket size is wrong for any decent new cpu, and this you would need to replace the whole mobo. If your gonna do that, your practicaly building a new computer

I paid $650.00 now that I look it overpaid way to much.

its a thinkstation Lenovo s20... um has the xeon, NVidia 3800 Quattro, umm. 1 TB hard drive, only 4 gb ram. it sucks. I really screwed up on this one..

Xeons are much better than i7s, just that they are more expensive.

good news guys!!! they worked with me and refunded me my money on the s20. :) :) :)

Good to hear. :good:
