In my neighborhood, this couple had their son move out and leave behind his comp which they are wanting to sell to me. The specs are:
2 8800gtx 798 (or whatever it is) mb in RAM in SLI
2.66 core 2 quad
4 gigs of ram (i think its DDR2)
custom black case with a window
NO HARDDRIVE
PSU- IDK (it looks very high quality tho)

Im 14 so this will be a big purchase for me but i haggled them down to 250$. I just need to know that this is a good deal before I buy.

THanks alot

BTW I have a harddrive to put in it!

well your hard-drive has to be the same cable type, and you will have to have the original windows disk for your hdd, your copy is liscenced to your hdd, so if you put it in his comp, then it won't boot unless you put in your disk, and then you'll need to reinstall everything unless you have a backup drive, otherwise i guess that's a decent deal, but it won't go far in current games if you want a high res or high shading and as/af or whatever it's called.

I have all the os things figured out, but it will be way better than my current pentium D and gts 250 right? considering the fact that basically 8800gtx = gts 250, and i have 2 8800gtx's in sli

Yupp! And they gave me a really nice 22"1080p monitor for 20$
And I found that the PSU is a 1000watt kingwin ABT-1000MA1S

Not a big fan of Kingwin, but it will be fine with that set up.

With the Monitor for 20 buck. In all you got a good deal.
