i want to run a am2 board with athlon 64 x2 chip. I will be overclocking. i dont want a integrated grapics. please help me choose a nice board. there is so many out there. i dont know whick to pick

Stick with Gigabyte- DFI- Asus but with Asus make sure you get comp. ram, get one with a nvidia chipset

first we are going to need to know your budget, and needs (besides overclocking).
but the dfi,asus,and gigabyte recommendations arent that great. id recommend this board if you dont have a strict budget.

Just watch out for the M2N-E from Asus
I ordered that with OCZ 6400.and im pissed. Because ive read alot of reviews stating that the board is very picky on ram, and on the ram i bought for it to.

so im hopeing that with the latest BIOS update my installation will all go fine. I really don't don't want to RMA my board.Or underclock my Ram.(solution that i have heard).
But all over.just watch out for little things like that.
Its gona be somewhat of a gamble for me next week while installing.
