Amazon EC2?

I was taking a look at Amazon EC2 and I was wondering if I am right in the sense I can run Microsoft Windows on there and would be able to access it from the web browser on my chromebook?

I am taking a web design class next quarter at my school and I do have a spare machine to run the Windows applications if I need them, but when I go to school I prefer to use my chromebook being smaller, lighter, better battery and not to mention I kind of prefer Chrome OS currently. If any of you have played with this web app what was some of your pro's and con's you experienced or could see.

Thanks for any input guys.

On the EC2 free tier you can run windows Server 2008 and 2012. I've had to use it (EC2) for classes a couple times, and my work is starting to migrate some of our services there as well. It's pretty easy to use, though I haven't done anything with the windows instances to speak for. The main thing is you need to remember to turn off your instances when you're done, or you'll start racking up fees for data.

Also, I can't speak to how fast any of the applications you want to run behave over RDP.
That's something you would definitely want to look into before committing. You can actually do a lot on the free tier, so i'd just suggest your sign up and start playing around with it.
