It depends on what type of AMD it is.

Its just a rating to identify that its better then a 3000 but not as good as a 3400, if ya get my drift. Im sure theres more to it, that was just simply put.

An AMD Athlon 64 3200+ socket 939 runs at 2.0Ghz, its the same one i have.

amd athlon 64 3200+ = 2ghz (939pin socket)
amd athlon 64 3200+ = 2.2ghz (754pin socket)
an athlon 64 3200+ is about as fast as a pentium 4 3.2ghz in a lot of benchmarks. its not EXACT, but benchmarks show that theyre similar in performance. 3200+ being the model name and the pentium 4 frequency u can associate it with (3200mhz)
