AMD 3700 or 4000

This may seem like a stupid question, but I'm kind of stuck between the two. I have the money for either one, and both have the San Diego core, but I've been hearing the 4000 has problems with heating, as in it overheats a lot. Which one should I go with for my gaming rig?

the 4000 is a fine choice, But maybe you should consider the X2 3800

Is it worth getting a dual core processor if it's (almost) only going to be used for gaming?

heck yes, the X2 regardless of the hype is a great cpu for gaming. And it will pull away as more games more mutlithreaded.

Well between 3700 and 4000, I personally would get the 3700 but the money could probably be better spent on a X2 box
