Amd 4000+ E4 Vs E6

It's just the core revision, I dont think there is any real difference. But the Socket 939 are pretty much dead, if you're going to get an AMD 64 4000+ or something up to that standard, you're better off getting the Orleans core, either 3800+ or 4000+. You'll struggle to buy a San Diego 4000+ in the box.

Also, perhaps look into the dual core setups as games and other programs will be soon optimised to run dual core.
 
As the above poster said, it's just the core revision. They just made a few very minor tweaks.

Performance wise, there is no difference, and usually theres no difference when overclocking either.
 
The reason I am going for socket 939 is because my motherboard is socket 939 and my cpu died on me so I am just going for a replacement. If there is no difference between the 2 then I will go with which ever one I can find.
