Bigshow1030 said:on the memory you picked out why does it say cL3? is that class 3 and what does that mean ?
NoIf I am putting this in and don't plan on overclocking will I have to mess with the voltage at all?
And which reviews might this be?I had seen some reviews where they said it was running sluggish until they altered voltages
1. Didnt you already ask this?In all reality what advantage is there in going with the 939 pin as opposed to the 754?
Inconsequential, AMD doesnt have a DDR2 solution yetdo you want DDR or DDR2???
You mean Socket754s tend to run cooler .... (of course I am aware that comparing a D-Rev Socket939 to a E-Rev socket939 illustrates a significant drop in temps)939's tend to run cooler as well which makes them prime targets for oc'ing
Wont matter. DDR2 is not supported by AMD as of yetIs there a whole lot of difference when it comes to price on ddr 2 and also if I am running ddr 2 will that make the computer move that much faster?
Noso in all reality if I do decide to jump to the 939 pin it would be wise to upgrade memory also correct?
I might consider buying you a drink if you manage to find me a 15K Raptor SATA driveif u could finish that off with a WD Raptor SATA drive, at 10k or 15k RPM, than you would be set
But given the low-latnecies of the on-die memory controller, its not an earthshattering improvementyes, upgrading to dual channel DDR (DDR2), would be a really nice upgrade to your pc...
Out the door...really fast. To answer the question, I'd buy my system minus 2 HDDs and upping the mobo to a NF3-Uso If I gave you $650 dollars to build the best system you could what would you go with?
Because the retailers are friggen idiots and your friend is bullshitting you if he's got DDR2 running in an AMD system (sorry to sound harshthen how come every retailer i've been to classes them as the same thing, and how come my friends comp is running DDR2 on his mobo??

Got a link?i have seen one on the WD site for purchase but it is really expensive...lol
sypher822 said:damn, would 15k be sweet tho
Yes but those are Seagates ... not WDs.They make SCSI harddrives at 15k
Why? It doesnt get much better than thatI really wish dfi would come out with a better motherboard than the one that I have got.........dfi lanparty ut nf3 250.
