As the title says, I have a laptop that has an AMD Athlon 64 which is 2.21 GHz. However, when I right click on my computer and go to properties, it only says 793 MHz. Any idea why it is doing that and how I can fix it?
The computer is a Gateway 7422GX. It is running Windows XP Professional SP3.
EDIT: Got it sorted. Windows Update had installed a driver for the CPU. I uninstalled that and now it works fine. My computer also seems to be running quicker. Not sure if it's just me or not, but I think it is actually faster because I can run Firefox, Pidgin, and Mabinogi without a hitch. It ran TERRIBLE when I tried it earlier...
