Mine Radeon 4870 512MB is getting old for new games. I will upgrade the rest(CPU, Motherboard, memory and window 64 bit) if newer video wont able keep up on FPS.

I am looking for great video cards that have 2X6 pins power. I found one of AMD and other of NVIDIA. Which one is better for Skyrim?

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 560 Ti - 448 Cores (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit (I will overclock this video card.) 294.99 after mail-in rebate card. BF3 & Batman coupons w/ purchase, limited offer

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6950 1GB 256-bit

Edit: By the way, I am going order one of them as soon as I got enough voted.

Thanks jonnyp11 for show me gaming benchmark, that help me a lot.
It's clearly that mine ATI Radeon 4870 is the worst videocard of all. lol.
Both 560ti-448 and 6950 is close battles, but 560ti-448 far better on BattleForge, HAWX, Civilization V, Battlefield, and Dirt 2.

Yeah, 570 is better than 560ti-448, but Civilization V benchmark is scary. 560ti-448 have BF3 & Batman coupons w/ purchase, limited offer...

so technically those coupons make the 448 core equivilent of costing about 200, which makes it a beast for the price, so maybe it is the better deal.

Sounds like a great deal. Personally even though I own BF3 limited ed. I would still have got the 560 as well. But for me money is the limiting factor considering my gaming rig was under $800 counting the monitor. :D

I got 560ti-448, and try Skyrim. The lighting and shadow looks awesome, but small FPS improvement. In town 29 to 58 FPS, out of town 46 to 60 FPS, in cave 58 to 60 FPS. I wish better FPS than that in town. It run much quieter and cooler 44C, but my CPU run hotter 48C.

Edit: Nevermind, I fixed NVIDIA Setting, and that gone hell a lot faster FPS. I am sooo happy now!!!

6950 still wins. I would go with a regular 560ti if I were you. I do like those 3-fan gigabyte cards. I have the 570 version. Runs very cool.

According to "AnandTech", the 560ti 448 demolishes the 6950 1gb, but the 2gb fairs alittle better. I believe that the 560ti 448 is a 570 with just a few "Stream Processors" locked. I guess they wanted to fill in the gap between the 560 and 570. The 560ti 448 is neck and neck with a 570, and actually, the 560ti beats the 570 in few benchmarks.IMHO, the 560ti 448, is the best performance/price ratio GPU out right now.But hey, dont get me wrong, the 6950 is no chump, it did by the way win a few benches.

Basically it boils down to which card you find for the cheapest, regular 560 Ti's are what, like $220 brand new now? At least on newegg, and some have rebates that bring it under $200.

Its about which one has the best performance/price ratio, not the cheapest.

e.g

GPU's start to leave the area of performance/price ratio when you get to 570 and above. What I mean about performance/price is that the 560ti 448 is on par with the 570, at $80 less.Same with the 560ti, even though it's retail is around $200 and the 560ti 448 at $249, the performance boost you get with the 560ti 448 over the regular 560ti is tremendous,on average 5-15%, for only $49 more.

Befor Nvidia launched "Fermi", AMD's reference 6950's GPU's was by far the best bang for your buck.

Edit: At one point the regular 560ti was the best bang for your buck, untill the 560ti 448 was launched. We all should know this, right?

Both are very good cards, But i would definitely go with a 2GB version of either of the cards if you intend to play BF3.

I vote 6950. Mine runs overclocked from 900mhz to 970, and i've managed to flash it to a 6970 without the bios switch. BF3 runs maxed out at 40-60fps @1080p, but i've noticed that not being able to overclock my processor is the only thing holding me back from more performance.
