AMD 960t Core Unlocking

I am using (On recommendation of members here) the 960t and am very happy with it. I tried unlocking the two additional cores by using the MSi MB Core unlocking software. All it does is lock up the computer then I have to reboot to the BIOS and reset the software to off before rebooting. So, what is the manual procedure for unlocking hidden cores? If it is posted already, can someone share the link?

Thanks
Jeff

When it unlocked, did you add any volts to it? If not, increase by the lowest amount possible and see if that will get it any better. Logic states that 6 cores need more power than 4, so that may be your issue.

Also note that not all 960's will unlock. Some will but will have unstable cores.

Sorry that I can not be of more help to your question.

Something to try:

If you have anything like AMD's Cool n Quiet, turn that off.

Instead of the automatic method try manual:
In BIOS there should be AUTO and MANUAL for core ulocker.
The 4 cores are probably labeled 0123.

-Turn on 4 (core 5)and try it. If not successfull, bump v's a second time and retry.
-Whether that's successful or not, turn off the 5th core and put the v's back to one bump.
-Repeat for core 6.
-If they unlock one at a time but not both at the same time - might need more v's, but you want lowest amount of v's and still be stable.
