what is the difference between the amd Athlon 64 3500 90nm 939 and just the regular Amd Athon 64 3500 939 pin.

the 90nm 3500+ is 84 mm^2 die, compared to 144 mm^2 dieusing the older 130nm process. the theoretical advantage should be lower thermal dissipation at the same clock speed but this isn't always true.

the regular Amd Athon 64 3500 939 pin.
The "90nm" A64 is not "irregular" ;)

As for thermal and power advantages, the Winchesters have been quite the success in power and thermal output :)

Are there any other differences besides the thermal and power advantages?

I think i read somewhere that the Winchester was easier or more overclockable than the Newcastle.

Hehe that would be the advantage wouldnt it? :P

Is the Winchester worth the extra $$ when it comes to the long run?
Well the Newcastle was D-rev, Winchester is E-rev..... they wont be making Ds when they can make Es....
