Hi, I am not familiar with the AMD CPUs, so I just wondering would it be a big difference between the two CPUs in terms of performance?

1. AMD Athlon 64 ADA3000/754 CPU

2. AMD Athlon 64 ADA3000-BP/BW 939 CPU

THX

socket 754 is now solely being used for the sempron brand, no new athlon processors will be out for it. also, 939 has dual channel memory capabilities while 754 only has single channel.
generally speaking 939 is the better performer, across the board.

As Hairly_Lee said, 939 is the best performance, and its also the new standard socket. It also has Dual Channel Support and 1000Mhz Bus, compared to the 754's 800Mhz Bus.

yes, however amd 754 cpus are generally cheaper, and the 200mhz increase in hypertransport was accounted for, and a 3200+ 939 socket operates at 200mhz less than a 754 socket 3200+.
GO 939 THOUGH! its more upgradeable, supports dual channel, and overall performs better and cooler. (with the newer venice revisions)

Yeah, 939 is better, as for reasons already stated, but be sure you have or get a socket 939 motherboard with that!
