AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600 or Intel Core 2 Duo E6300

fade2green, your logic is completely screwed up and almost spoken like a fanboy. Your arguments were true 2 years ago maybe, but that was when all the fanboys were jumping up and down because AMD FINALLY pulled ahead in performance. All you heard out of those retards was "price/performance! price/performance!" Why? Because they were a bunch of 15 year old kids who couldn't afford an Intel. What do you see at LAN parties? A bunch of 15 year old kids and nerds with no life. They have more pimples than friends.

When Intel dropped the C2D bomb, suddenly they shut the hell up. The AMD crowd went silent. It was a bunch of pouting like a spoiled brat. They figured out other ways to bash Intel.

It's interesting that Intel owns over 80% of the market. AMD has bitten into that share, true, but they have a LONG way to go before they are a contender. Intel completely dominates the corporate sector... Where the money is. Intel doesn't really give a shit about the desktop, nor should they.

Incidentally, do you know who is number 1 in the world for semiconductors? Intel. AMD doesn't even rank in the top 10. AMD just doesn't have the resources and that's what's holding them back. They couldn't even GIVE AWAY their CPUs for 10 years. The reason they are so cheap is because nobody would buy them. They had to slash prices to attempt to gain marketshare, and they ran in the red for 10 years to do it. Is that how to run a profitable company? AMD has made many mistakes, and they completely screwed themselves with some of the crappy processors they have made. That's why corporations won't even touch them. It's just now that they are starting to regain some faith in AMD.
