Hello, I am not trying to do another AMD vs Intel thread because there is so many of them. Currently I am looking to buy a laptop during the black Friday event. After looking through a bunch of fliers from CompUSA, BestBuy, CircuitCity. It seems that AMD Athlon X2 TK-53 is taking over the cheap laptop section and thus most of the laptop's that are going to be on sale will have this chip in them. I did some research on TK-53 but I can't find much information because it seems to be one of the newer CPU's. I found out that it is Dual 1.7Ghz and is made on 65nm base. Now my question is, when people were testing AMD vs Intel for laptops it was proven that AMD has worse battery life.
<>Do you think 65nm TK-53 would be closer in battery life to a comparable Intel Dual Core chip?
And here's some more random questions for ya
<> Should I go with Intel Pentium Dual-Core T2310 or AMD Athlon 64 X2 TK-53?
<> If you had to rank four brands of cheap laptops (~$300 to $699) which one would be 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th in reliability? Sony, HP, compaq, toshiba.
Thank you very much!
