Thats E6400, the E6300 won't be much further down, I wonder why the don't have it in there.

I'd get the E6300, not being baised towards Intel or anything, but I feel it's more beneficial and cheaper probably. I think there are also more LGA775 boards and they are cheaper.

I agree with you as well Danny, especially with Intel dropping there prices next month.

Get the E6600 for $224(next month, April 22nd(est.)), and blow that X2 4600+ out of the water. Or get the new E6320(next month), with the 4Mb L2 Cache
 
I just wanted to add a comment here. From the information given at newegg.com, 4600+ is about $100 cheaper than intel. Intel is not cheaper with $220.
 
The Intel rig has slower RAM.
667mhz, vs 800mhz on the AMD rig.

But anyway, weird how AMD's benchmarks are better than C2D
I'm suprised with the lack of replies here though.
 
I am sure AMD selected benchmarks tests that would surpass C2D's. They may not be making false statements but it is most likely they are not being honest.

I would prefer independent benchmarks.
 
thats a benchmark of the

amd processors + amd integrated graphics + ddr800

vs

intel core2 + intel integrated graphics + ddr667

Yeah I just paid $125 for a 4600+, that's the only reason I bought it, CPU and MoBo were $250 before shipping. It's an okay chip...can't complain with gaming. It doesn't haul ass for multi-tasking though. My E6400 rig multi-tasks much better.
 
How is that misleading, It says right at the Top (Desktop UMD intergrated graphices platform performance) its not a CPU benchmark. If you take it as a CPU benchmark thats your fault!
