AMD Athlon x2 5200+ 2.7

It's adequate while the 6400+ 3.2ghz wasn't available for a recent build here going for the 6000+ X2 model seeing 3ghz stock. It depends mainly on the type of build it will be used on. Is that the cpu listed in your sig?

It will run a bit cooler being a 65w model over the 125w 6000+ run here to add further. But the system is more of a work horse type build often demanding more cpu time.
 
yes its the one in my sig i wasnt to sure about AMD but its now alot cheaper then Intel and still in my eyes a good proccessor
 
Tell me about cheaper alright! About a week after ordering the 6000+ here for about $230 from newegg the price dropped to $170! argh! :mad: GGrrr...! With the quad core models now available and being the new cpu the older ones will see a price reduction to keep them moving along.
