What speed is the fan supposed to run at? At the moment mine is around 3000rpm, but my temps idle are 45C - 49C!!

thats not too good idle, i know on mine before i got a zalman my idle temps were around 38-40*c and now its 28*c idle. Maybe you can get a new cooler? also whats telling you the temps? bios will be most accurate

Bios and speedfan, there both saying around 50ish idle. But i played a game for 5 minutes and my temps only, i say only :p went up to 55C (fan speeds went to 4900rpm!!). Before i get a whole new cooler i'm gonna get some Arctic silver stuff and try that out. I've heard a lot of people say that it's worked good for them on this cpu. Also, i think that my graphics card (x1950xtx) is contributing somewhat because that isn't exactly cool.

yeah, you can try some new paste. I know the 6000 comes with a heat pipe heatsink so try the cheap fix first :P

Btw, they sell ASF at circut city for the same price newegg would cost after shipping

Yeah, but it'll cost me about 90quid to ship it to the UK!!:D

When you do replace the compound just put alittle bit more than a grain of rice on it and spread it with a credit card or something, if you put to much it wont run as cool either

ThatGuy16 you like that Foxconn board, Havent used Foxconn in a while, but heard there trying to get back in the game! trying to pick between these 2 but I know the DFI has overclocking features out of the wazoo.

Im very pleased with it so far and the overclocking abilities i think are excellent. I have managed to get my cpu to 3.33Ghz on this board while others seem to not be able to pass the 3.2ish range stable, but i haven't tried going higher than 3.33 (yet). The reason i got this board was because i was able to snatch it off newegg for $99 :D Cant beat that for the nForce 590 and all the features it offers

I saw good reviews on it, I,ve used alot of Asus Gigabyte,DFI and Epox boards( getting burned out) but I thought I might give that Foxconn a try. They make the EVGA and XFX board too, there just alike but the Foxconn gets better reviews, they must send XFX and EVGA there sub boards:D
