Hi i have a amd athlon xp 2400+ with a asrock k7vm3 with a fsb of 200-333Mhz but when i check it only says my computer is running only 999mhz? anyone have any solutions or is this correct?

your motherboard jumper may be in the wrong position, check the manual for details.

The problem is usually in the FSB setting in the BIOS. Make sure that it is 166 in your case. I is most likely set lower than that and thereofere that's why you have that problemo.

I also have an ASROCK motherboard, i know exactly the problem. When i upgraded from a 2.4Ghz celeron to a 3.0Ghz P4, i had the speed set to 2.6Ghz, which is about 145 under CPU settings. Here is what you do:

Go into BIOS by pressing F2
Select Hardware, then CPU configuration
Then select it to "AUTO" or set it to whatever you want.

He's using an ASROCK motherboard. As for your XP2400 ... it should be set at 133x15.0
