AMD AXP 1700+ overclocking

Id like to overclock my AXP 1700+ Thoroughbred-B but not in BIOS - point is that if I´m surfing, watching movies etc 1700+ is OK, when it gets playing games i think some 2600+ would be nice (without restarting). Right now it is ~1800MHz(2200+) and cold.

1.SpeedFan doesn`t support my mobo
2.nVidia nTune doesn`t support my mobo(i think, becuz i couldn`t install it)
3.In ClockGen i don´t know what PPL i shoud put in

So suggest some good programs which i could use or help with ClockGen.

Athlon XP 1700+ Thoroughbred-B
Motherboard AOpen AK77-8XN

why dont you want to go through the BIOS if your having that much trouble going through Windows?

Less MHz = less noise (when im not playing)
actually Less Heat = Less noise, lol. But ya, when you raise the speed it will create more heat.

I googled your motherboard but i cant find the PLL name.

I doubt his cpu fan is temperature sensative, so it'll run at a constant rpm whether the cpu is hot or cold.

well you are wrong, i use Silenttec and it does 0-3000rpm (cooler is some kinda whisperrock)

Most CPU fans actually do run slower when the temps are lower. The fan doesnt have a temp sensor, it reads the temps from the cpu sensor. So if you had the fan plugged right into a molex instead of the motherboard, you wont get that ability.
