Why would you want to go backwards in performance?I already I have a GTX 1070, but I really want to try a RX 580.
I just want to see how well it performs compared to my 1070.Why would you want to go backwards in performance?
you can do that without spending money.I just want to see how well it performs compared to my 1070.
Didn't even think about that. :TJust go read some benchmarks.
you serious?Didn't even think about that. :T
Maybe he wants to compare a specific game or something... Yeah it is pretty dumb but when I had my FX 8350 I was considering buying an i5 to show people that the 8350 renders fasteryou can do that without spending money.

My 8350 ran cooler than my 6700k. Yeah, I know, silicon lottery but still...FTFY
Operating temperature is irrelevant to sheer volume of heat produced. Yeah the chip itself might be at a lower temperature but the 8350 was dumping way more heat into the surrounding air than the i7. AMD chips actually usually seem to run a bit cooler than Intel but the Intel's (until recently) usually consumed way less power and thus produced less heat.My 8350 ran cooler than my 6700k. Because Intel is lazy and uses thermal paste between the IHS and die instead of solder.the 8350 was dumping way more heat into the surrounding air than the i7.
That's not even remotely the reason why.Because Intel is lazy and uses thermal paste between the IHS and die instead of solder.
