Ah so im running linux on my laptop here with a AMD 64 Athlon X2.

Both processors are running at 100%! and i only have 2 processes running. Firefox and the system monitor.

My computer is runnign extremely slow and its cause of the CPU's way high. shes not to hot as it sits up on a box for good air flow and such.

So whats going on?

1.There's technically more then two process running, there's a lot of background stuff running if you check the tabs.
2. What distro/version? Ubuntu something?
3. Is your computer always like this when using linux?(ie whats the usage at startup?)
4. What's the cpu usage if you close firefox, and how long has firefox/your laptop been running. Depending on the version of firefox, there was a bug in which firefox would consume more and more resources the longer it was on.
