AMD FX 8350 Overheating

I am having some trouble with my FX 8350. I don't have it overclocked, and it is idling at about 33-35C. About 30 seconds into Prime 95 blend test, I am at 68-70C. I have also had some issues with overheating while gaming (even shutting down). I am using this cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...1089&cm_re=corsair_h80-_-35-181-089-_-Product

I am reapplied thermal paste and have ensured optimal airflow in the case. My ambient temps are mid 70s right now.

Do I appear to have a faulty heatsink? Any ideas? More info needed?

Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. It is in one of the chassis fan headers (CHA_1). The only other 2 are CPU fan slots, which are where I put the 2 120mm fans that attach to the radiator. Is it possible that the CHA_1 header is throttling?

You connect the pump to the CPU fan header. Connect the fans to the 2 connectors off the pump. Then you connect the USB cable to the pump and to a USB header.

Sorry, it's actually the Corsair H75, not the H80. The H75 doesn't use a USB controller, it's just hooked up to the fan headers.

Either way, I decided to just get a traditional heatsink/fan combo. I've grown suspect of these water cooling options (I had coolant leak in another build that I have). I will report back if that was the problem.
