Amd fx vs amd x6

Is an amd fx 6100 or an amd x6 black edition better for gaming

at this point...probably the x6, but you can clock the fx alot more and it runs cooler than the x6...so it evens out...id say go with whichever you can get cheaper...

Yeah, nearly nothing can even use over 4 cores, and the only game I know even benefits from the cores is FSX. Also I would go Phenom as the FX's seem to BSOD alot in a few games, which is funny since it's supposed to be an enthusiast gaming CPU.

I would avoid the FX Socket AM3+ Series of processors right now. Go with a Phenom II Quad-Core processor.
