Amd Fx?

I'm pretty sure there's some overlap, but very simply speaking, and only regarding single core, the FX series is faster.

The FX is the same thing as either an Athlon 64 or X2, esxcept they are slightly faster and have an unlocked multiplier.

yea the FX-55 is at 2.6ghz, and the FX-57 is at 2.8ghz. thats REALLY fast for Athlon 64's.
the FX-60 is a dual core processor, and its clocked at 2.6ghz like the FX-55...
they can be called AMD's flagship processor's... they also have an unlocked cpu multiplier (of course, you don't need to know that if you're not overclocking)
my personal opinion is that the FX series goes way over the money / performance ratio, and is only worth it if you REALLY want processing power (and in some cases an X2 is better for that) and you have like $700-$1000 extra to blow lol

those are the FX processors... little expensive huh? lol

In my opinion I don't really think there to much money:) and (no i aint a rich bastard lol!)

are you serious?! You can build an entire system with the money you spend on one fx-60 processor

My entire system (below) cost 950 dollars, as compared to a grand or more for the FX-60. Just a comparison.
And your entire system should not be in your sig, because it is considerably more than 10 lines.

The FX is overpriced, but nowhere near as much as the EEs are, considering that the FXs will kick their butts any day.

I would get an X2 3800 over the 3700, unless all you plan to do is game with the current games.
