AMD Heatsink Question

it does come with a heatsink, but when you say "snap in" im thinking about several things. Can you please be more clear and specific?

ohh ok that makes more sense. The "snap in" sockets are socket 462's. you have a socket 939. Your mobo and that processor/heatsink would work just fine. So yes, it would work for your mobo if thats what your wondering.

Oh, ok, that's good to know.

But just to clarify: my heatsink won't be a "snap-in"?
You said socket 462s are snap in. And I have a socket 939. So, I'll probably have to screw something in.

No problem though.

the socket 939's heatsinks latch on the sides of the motherboard. Nothing clicks in and there are no screws.

Here it is..

It would help to see it on picture, there is a little lever on the HSF which you move from the upright position to the right (when looking at the lever from the top with the heatsink above it) and that will be it ..BINGO!
