I know that Intell chipsets work like this.
The Northbrige is connected directly to the CPU and the speed of the Data going to the Northbrige from the CPU is called the FrontSideBUS.
And the Main Memory is directly connected to the Northbrige to.
And the Northbrige is connected to the Southbrige directly.
And everything els is connected to the Southbrige.
I get this and how it all works.
Now I do know that the AMD CPU is connected directly to Main Memory by it's own Memory BUSS because the AMD CPU has a Built in memory Controlor.
So the Memory does not have to go through the Northbrige to get to the CPU.
OK I get this.
And I know everything else is on what they call a Hypertransport BUS.
What I want to know is is the AGP and PCI Express still connected to the Northbridge and is the Northbridge still connected to the Southbrige??
And is everything else connected to the Southbridge??????
I keep reading a lot on the Internet and I saw a lot of Specs so don't give me a link Please.
Just tell me in your words.
Thanks
