Hello
So i am not to familiar with PCs and components for them, But i have been researching on them and found out that people prefer Intel over AMD processors for gaming

It seems that AMD gives out lower FPS then intel, Is this correct?

Lets compare the i5 2500 and the AMD Phenom II x4 965

What will be the difference? Will it only be FPS or is there another thing that the AMD will fall behind on from the i5 2500?

Just trying to figure out what downfall AMD has over intel

Everything is faster on the intel I5 2500k (get the 2500k not 2500). Yes the 2500k will have higher FPS, but really the 965 is capable of playing pretty much any game smoothly if you overclock it a little.

What all do you do with your PC? Just gaming and internet browsing? What graphics card do you have?

Yea main thing will be for gaming. Little internet use like, Face book, Email, Youtube.. that kinda stuff

Graphics is a GTX 460

BUT!! This is the main thing that i also wanna know if it will still make a difference or not. When i play games i turn my settings down all the way, The graphics gives me a headache. So wondering if i do this will they both operate the same or?

What resolution do you game at?

BTW, the 955 is a better choice than a 965....cheaper and they overclock the same.

Do you plan to ever SLI or just stick with single strong GPU upgrade next time?

It also obviously makes a big difference with what games you are running.

I am getting over 120 frames per second in a game I play with a Phenom II 940 processor, an ASUS EAH4670/DI/1GD3 video card (but this game was released in 2006).
