AMD motherboard

hey guys i might do a project on building a computer and i need some ideas of what mobo i need. I want the mobo to be AMD socket AM2. i like usas but if theres other choices tell me. thanks for the advice.

What will help is knowing the overall budget to give some ideas based on that as far as other hardwares like the model cpu, video and sound(if not using onboard), and memory.

ASUS isn't so good nowadays. I own ASUS mobo M2-NVP-VM (AM2) and I have much troubles with overheat of the both bridges.
I recommend you to try Gigabyte or DFI

I would more likely go with MSI or Gigabyte if and when deciding to leave Asus behind over DFI in a minute. Upon looking over the specifications on those brands they stood out over DFI, Abit, and others. I was forced to move the new 939 board into a gaming case due to seeing 48C idle in the old case. Keeping the board temps down will be a great help with cpu temps too.

MSI is a (crap) motherboards compaired to a DFI or Gigabyte. Stopped ordering them for customers, one out of every three either was bad or DOA!!

Haha, you're calling DFI crap? For an AMD, a DFI will almost always be an acceptable board.

You probably never figured out how to run an MSI board. That's all. DFI is on the lame side and that's all there is to it.
