AMD or Intel?

AMD all the way I love them what do all you guys think?
What do you think AMD and Intels best processors are? I go with AMD's Athlon 64.
 
AMD and Intel both are solid proc. but my prefference is also AMD and yes obviously it would be the 64's at the moment :-).

My computer is really bad.....
so bad its not worthy of being my signature.

We are not our signatures ;-).. I think the idea of putting our system specs in our sigs is because it saves us from typing out all that info when we ask for help :-) although some of us also just want to show off LOL.

yupyup:)

I prefer AMD, more bang for my buck, user-friendly, i've grown up with it, and it seems to be more suitable for gaming (what i love to do when i have the time).

even though I know AMD can offer the better CPU for all the games I like to play and they have mended their ways with the A64s I still use and like Intel. For me this is because VIA and SiS make garbage (IMO) chipsets while Intel's are pretty good (a few exceptions but I hate all VIA and SiS, bad experiences). I know they aren't the only choice for the AMD chipsets but even the initial nForce releases aren't that great.
 
actually the NF3 will beat out the NF4 in most cases

yeah I guess not, everyone likes to compare stuff that can't be directly compared
 
I've heard AMD runs a little hot which could end up slowing your machine down, is this true?
or just buy a fan with the money you're saving on the cpu? ;)

I own a rather old 2600+, so I don't know about newer CPUs, but mine has never been above 45 degrees C, and I play new games. :P
 
My 3500+ runs at 35 degrees when idle and 45 when playing games like Doom3, BFV, Madden etc. I definately cant complain in the least.
