AMD Phenom II X6 1065T vs I5-2300 Which CPU Is Better??

what are you looking to do with it? the i5 would prob be better in general, but the phenom might be better for like autocad and 3d rendering and video editing, things that use more cores.
 
I am looking at 2 computer deals both have pretty much the same specs the I5 computer is $30 more than the X6 computer. I am not a gamer I just watch hd videos convert videos to mp4 & surf the net
 
can you post links to the computers? just so we can see if there are any differences or anything other than the cpu that would make a big enough difference.

where are these at, what price? gateway aren't a very good brand, and i don't think they are the best priced either.
 
well i guess for 400 their pretty dang good, i think i'd go for the i5, but i really have no idea which will truly be better, really i doubt you'd notice even the slightest difference in anything really between the 2.
 
Like I said the specs are bettery much the same this is the best deal I have seen I have been looking for a few days now I had to get this one before it sold out
