AMD phenomII x6 fan

Hey guys, I'm thinking of buying an AMD Phenom II X6 Black Edition 1090T off ebay to replace my old phenomII x2 550 BE.

But I just realised that the 1090T is an OEM model, which I've heard don't come with a heatsink and fan.
So I was wondering if the stock cooler that came with my 550 would suffice?

thanks :D

So long as the socket is the same and you don't want to overclock, yes your current cooler will work. :)

No. I wouldn't do that. The one you had before is an 80 watt processor and the replacement is 125 watts. More wattage = more heat. I'd invest in a better cooler. A Hyper 212 Cooler Master would be a cheap solution. A CM TX3 would also work.
