AMD Price Cuts!!!

so... E6750, or X2 6000 ?

i've been quoted $270 (australian) for the E6750 after 22 July, and the current price for the X2 6000 is $216...

the 6000 performs between 6600 and 6700.

E6600 is slightly faster

Yup, 6000 for my brother instead of E6420...
At stock speeds 6000+ performs better, but E6420 overclocks much better performs better

Now the E6550, which is the closest competition to the 6000, costs more right?

E6550 cost $163

E6750 cost $183

It is confirmed by Wikipedia that the E6850's release price will be $266. I am getting it about a week after, yup, sure of it. I need to talk to my Intel insider, lol, maybe he would give me some more info.

I've never dealt with a quad or (like I said) OC'ing. How do the quads respond to that? Are they just stupid fast or are they already quick enough?

they score higher in benchmarks that take advantage of all cores. other than that they're like dual cores for now. is good to have more cores and cache anyways :D

From what i have read and seen, the 5600 is better than the 6000+? i hear it uses less power and runs cooler, also if you oc the 5600 it will outperform the 6000+....

The only reason i got the 5600 was because of my budget at the time.
Anyone read this? i cant remember but i seen it on a few review sites but can remember were.

Btw: just my luck, they do a price drop after i already bought the darn thing
