AMD Price Cuts!!!

From what i have read and seen, the 5600 is better than the 6000+? i hear it uses less power and runs cooler, also if you oc the 5600 it will outperform the 6000+....

I've heard that too. Apparently, once overclocked, the 5600 runs just as hot as the 6000 and the money saved doesn't justify the difference in power consumption. Also, you could just as easily downclock a 6000 to 2.8 GHz and undervolt it, so that power consumption is lower (nerfing it essentially :)).

The only reason i got the 5600 was because of my budget at the time.
Anyone read this? i cant remember but i seen it on a few review sites but can remember were.

Btw: just my luck, they do a price drop after i already bought the darn thing

you can buy another one and jump into a time machine and sell it :)

I OC'ed mine up to 3.3 with a Zalman cooler and get 28*c idle at stock voltages
