I know that AMD is going to be realizing its new processors later this year, but how will they compare to Intel, with the soon to be, drop in price of the quad-cores, how much will AMD's be?

No one can say for sure, but from what i've heard, AMD's new quad cores are going to blow Intel's current ones out of the water, but then again, Intell will have released new CPU's by then as well.
And the quad cores are suppose to drop alot later this year. I believe I heard around $266 for the Q6600.

really that cheap? what frequency will the cores run at? and i assume its going to use twice the amount of power?

not bad i might want the Q6600 at such a low price... provided my junkie rosewill psu can handle that lol... maybe ill just get a hard drive instead lol
or build a new computer since ill probably end up gettin a new vid card anyways right?? lol
