amd releassing triple cpu???

Well if you made some monolith quad cores and one core was bad. Would you?
No.1 Throw it in the trash can
No.2 Make money on it and disable the one bad core and sell it as a Tri Core.
I think I would pick No.2
 
yeah it is kinda weird when ya think about it and no its not gonna be a triple quad i dont believe but maybe they trying to beat intel at making triple core first to see what happens afterwards either that or they just want to make triple cores as they budget processor who knows will have ti wait and see what happens down the road i dont think they gonna make they triple core better then their quad just yet
 
i dont see the point why design the triple after the quad doesnt make sense and i why would pep get the triple over the quad???????????
 
I don't think they're designed. They're just quad cores with 1 core disabled. It's almost like in video card such as the x850pro and xt. The 850pxo uses 12 pipeline cores that are just the 16 piped cores with a quad disabled.
 
Don't think so, it's like hard drives. They all have the same capacity but they only make usable 80GB, 160GB, 500GB or whatever they wanna sell it for.

Its not a Tri core by design. Its a Quad with one bad core or one that doesnt clock well. Intel and AMD has done this for years, nothing new. Some Dual cores that had a bad core had the core disabled was sold as a single core. Some cores with more L2 that had a flaw has had some cache disabled and sold as a lower end model with less cache.

Its just talked about because this is the first time its been done with a quad to make a tri core. You would probable be surprised if you started poping off the CPU shield of some Core 2s and found out some of them was a Core 2 quad core with a bad core on one of the duals and disabled it and sold it as a Core 2. Intel has done it less than AMD because there yields are better and they have the money just to trash can it, but its done by both companies.
 
i didnt even know that the HDD are all the same compacity, but the only usable part is what they sell it as. damn.
 
i think they are making 3 core cpu's to not be in direct competition with Intel

i will definitely be buying a amd quad or trio for my next computer build
 
Well, if intel would've made them right now. I would've taken it but I am not buying anything but a single core from AMD.... And seeing I don't want a Single core, I don't buy anything of AMD (not even ATI's...)
