AMD - socket F

socket f is the new fx series yeah?
also if you put 2 socket f cpus together you get quad core 4x4 but ive heard people say you can get 4x4+ which is 2 quad core cpus but how do you get that because the socket f cpu is only dual core

I don't know what you are asking about now but
ive heard people say you can get 4x4+ which is 2 quad core cpus but how do you get that because the socket f cpu is only dual core
wiki says it will be used for future quad core

8 core so each socket f cpu is quad core
but hows that possible because socket f cpu is only dual core?
It's like how S939 was designed for single core CPUs but then duak cores were released later.

I'd say yes because there's two.
8 core so each socket f cpu is quad core

The socket is not having it's own intelligence. It's there to house and hold the CPU in place. The one that will state what types of CPU goes in is the chipsets.

no i have s939 not sAM2 if you read my sig carefully i it even says i have s939

EDIT you did answer my q's. sorry

one last q's i dont understand why didnt AMD just put 4 cores in one chip instead of people having to buy 2 dual core chips???

You could buy a quad core and insert two quad cores on the board if you wish. It's a basic rule of thumb.

ive to read somewhere that they are coming out with a quad core this summer but that will possibly be 2 chips that are both quad core and altogether 8 core by that time intel will have made one chip that is 8 core.
im just saying wouldnt it be cheaper to the public than by one chip rather than buying 2 also you have to get dual socket mobo and there expensive
