AMD Turion or Intel Celeron Dual Core

I just can't find any benchmarks for Intel Celeron T1700 ( Dual Core ) so I can't compare it with the AMD Turion X2 RM-70. Anybody has any idea which is the better one of the two in terms of gaming and general performance?

Not sure about that, its an exact copy of Intel Pentium Dual Core T3400 which is ranked amongst the high-end processor ( at a low position thou ) by cpubenchmark. The only difference is the little bit slower clock cycle and BUS/CORE ratio

.. the AMD is ranked about the medium-end PCs ( at the mid position ) so I think even with a little bit lesser BUS/CORE ratio and clock speed the Celeron would be a better processor than AMD ... I did a little bit more chat with peoples and got these conclusions, please tell me if I am wrong or right .. don't want to get a crappy processor once again :)

I would recommend you look at desktop computers if you are looking for processing power. Almost all laptops give no where near the performance of desktop computer processing power and are also more expensive.

+1, especially for gaming as anything with a pentium dual core prolly has integrated graphics also.
