I am trying to decide on a new laptop and not sure on the differenc between the CPU manufacturers AMD and Intel.
Any copmments on either would be helpful!

Intel only has the mobile market because it doen't heat up as fast and so doesn't burn your feat, and the battery lasts longer, especially if you have centrino. Other than that, it's really about what you want to do with it, if you just want to surf the internet and do simple things then intel is the way to go, but if you want a gaming laptop then AMD is what you need.

The Core Duo outperforms the AMD X2 counterparts at a few things.
