This is clearly a marketing gimmick by AMD.

intel has nothing what so ever about that on there site, its not on the home page and i searched for "dual-core duel" and "duel" and came up with nothing.

Just a note to ppl who havent actually clicked that link, its not AMD X2 xxxx+ vs a Pentium D x.xGhz, its the AMD Opteron vs Intel x86, which are server cpu's.

the opteron's are great though, opteron 144's are overclockers, some past 3.0GHz. they should hold up great.

Ah fair enough ..... i guess it's probably a better fight so to speak: much more interesting to see the full-fledged chips duke it out (and actually fully use the featuresets)
