guyz please i need help here..well i have AMD athlon XP 2200+ with stock Heatsink and Fan well i bought another stockfan i dunno why.. and i installed 2 fans on the heatsink and OC'd to 2800+ and used it for a month but the temp was 47c and increasing so i installed a stock Heatsink with a large Base of copper and decolcked the pro to 2200+ and the temp still 47c so i want to know how far can i go with the OC while taking the temp in consideration ?! i mean how far can the pro. operate under temp?!

You can overclock your processor as long as it's stable. 47C is decent for a XP. Personally, I wouldn't take it past 60C in overclock.

Well...

For the XPs....a temp of 85 I believe is DEATH TIME. I have mine (1800+ at 2500+) and at max 40 idle. I think 47 is perfectly fine. I would not worry at all. Afterall what do you expect after a huge overclock like that?

JAN :D

1. Two fans on heatsink = generally bad
2. Stock heatsink = generally not so great
3. Changing heatsink = you should clean old thermal goop off and put new goop on :)
